Following the success of the E4SD conference in Lautoka, Fiji last year, EIAP shall be holding the second edition of the Educators for Climate Justice and Just Transition Conference in Bangkok, Thailand from 17 to 19 April 2024. The conference aims to the enhance capacities, build solidarity and identify key opportunities to engage and advance the climate justice and just transition agenda within the education sector in the Southeast Asia sub-region and beyond

In the afternoon of 19 April 2024, the United Nations Secretary-General’s High-Level Panel on the Teaching Profession recommendations will be held from 2:00-5:00 PM in Bangkok, Time. The event aims to transform the set of recommendations into actions, emphasizing the need for teachers unions and governments to reverse teacher shortages and monitor the implementation of recommendations at the national and regional levels.
